What Is Bioluminescence in the Ocean?

All light in the universe comes from the same basic phenomenon. Electron gets excited to a higher energy level, it drops back down and gives up its energy as a packet of energy called a photon. And bioluminescence is just one form of chemi luminescence where the animals are producing the chemicals that make the lite. So this is an internal process caused by some chemical reaction. M and from an evolutionary perspective, again, whi all these, all these creatures are doing this - or at least theres variety. Some are doing it for one reason, some are doing it on their own.
