What's Happening at the Transmitter?

i brought the components of a really basic, make your own radio to show gareth. So what's happening at the transmitter is that it's generating radio waves. Those radio waves are going to interact with something that has to convert them int an electrical signal. And that's what this thing does. Say, you've got some copper wrapped round some parite. The energy in those radio waves will then be converted into a corresponding electrical signal which comes out of this wire. As there's no battery or anything, it just does it by the nature of th the different messals in that shape, it does ye.
