The Importance of Proper Ventilation in Infants
The most important area of care that we work in where this is really relevant is an MRI. And so spirometry with a 20 foot circuit is not very accurate, especially when you're talking about really little people. So the bigger the person, the less important it is. We teach to look at the chest rise and make sure it's not too large or non-existent.
