The G20 and the 2008 Financial Crisis
The G20 was founded in 1999 by the finance ministers and central bank governors of 19 countries. They are credited with helping stabilize the global financial system during the 2008 financial crisis. This year, however, a significant number of countries either opt out or send someone junior who doesn't have the authority to make decisions on behalf of their country.
