Matt Zellner: When we saw that the Shangri-La of 500 million subscribers worldwide was not realistic in the short term, that's when everybody freaked out. He says once you've realized you can't go all in, why not just stop completely? Why is there even a max overseas? Like, I get why there's an HBO and a max in the US, but why even try to be global?Zellner: If you fashion yourself as a global media company, how do you not have a global streaming service?
