Capitalism and the Drive for Accumulation
I think that there's this basic misunderstanding and I guess this is the deep running political Marxism in me. Like feudal lords were not capitalists because they were not lacking in wealth. And so accumulation in itself doesn't just turn into capital. So he seems to think that like saving and like self-denial is like what generates capitalist development. But I just think that can't be true because it's not like there weren't enough rich people to go around at the time. Does that make sense when I'm saying? Yeah.
