The Rise of AI

Today's big tech dominance over AI research echoes the US military's control over science during the Cold War. Big tech for a long time had business models that were not largely reliant on military spending. Now, that's changing as they join the ranks of those old-school contractors and secure growing share of profits from their rise in the first place.
