Apple should make large-language model capabilities available to developers through APIs on the phone. OpenAI released their Whisper model, which is way more accurate than Apple's SFSpeak synthesizer. There are lots of things I could do with that was fast and computationally inexpensive to run but if I had to download like a gig or two it's not going to fly.
