The Idea of Nation States Managed Public Property Is a New Idea

LZ Granderson: The idea of nation states managing public property is an interesting way of putting it. He says that all species on the planet are biologically wired to respect territory and to respect territorial bounds. LZ: When you take society from a standpoint of private property, you then start to respect the three pillars of reality - scarce resources, scarce time, scarce energy. And when you take those things, it's only through the respect of private property that we're able to trade amongst each other in a way that is multiplicative. It's additive like we can produce more together.
