The Detached Mindfulness Technique

Detached mindfulness is the opposite of doing something with thoughts and feelings. So you would practice with neutral thoughts first, like a pink elephant thought or whatever,. Like a thought that doesn't really trigger any more emotions. Then I would kind of drag in some of those trigger thoughts to make you realize that you can continue observing independent of if the thought doesn't trigger you at all.
