I think part of the story is that evangelicals have often felt, um, you know, it's part of the sort of life stream of conservative Christianity to feel that America is not paying attention. That we are shamed and embarrassed and that at a very effective consonants with white lower middle class folks who felt left out of the American dream. I don't think that the Christians bear all the responsibility for the dysfunction of the Republican Party as I would see it in Congress now. You get this bundling of flag and faith. Yes.
