Is the Mind Causally Closed?
The power of simpler rituals can only be explained, I think, by the fact that our minds are not the causality closed to its layer. A witch is somebody focuses on the way in which other people construct reality and messes directly with that layer. So the people around the witch will have a reality that is open to the attacks by witchcraft. This is what magic is about. And it's also what magic is in a real world about. It's just very complex. The question is what kind of causation you observe in the world.
