Is There Diversity Below Ground?

Under the soil of a typical eastern north american forest, there's lots and lots of different plants above ground. But how much diversity is there below ground, and how much integration is there in the trees that are above ground with the fungota that are below ground? You're sort of across species. Do our birch interconnected with oak, which are interconnected with pine, or how does that look? Ya a, there's a bit of that, there's also an arbuscular micris fungi. And so it leads t to even more interesting dynamics and the underground nat were gin a mansort if we looked at these nutrient rivers.
