Cars Are Still Buying Them Despite What's Been Going On
In january of 19 80, the criminal case begins against ford over the olrichs deaths. Engineers testify that had ford changed the fuel tank position to over the axle, 95 % of fatalities would have survived. On march thirteenth, 19 80, ford was found not guilty on the charges of reckless homicide. The jury claims there's insufficient evidence to support a conviction. And people are still buying the car. You know it's been fixed, but pinto sales for the first five months of 19 79 are up 22 point five % from the same period the year before. Some people are still buy them despite what what's been going on.
