Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant had huge input in at least one coaching change. They definitely guided free agent decision making, including signing DeAndre Jordan for a $40 million contract. And so it was a castle that was built on sand and it could have worked because Durant and Kyrie are that good. But the deal that they made to get into and yielding that kind of influence set the whole situation up not to be successful.
