Evolution of American Constitution Perspectives

This chapter explores the changing views of the American Constitution over time, from a compromise instrument in the 19th century to a symbol of national identity. It discusses historical perspectives linking Protestant influences and territorial settlement to the creation and critique of the Constitution.
