The New King of Judah, in a Linen Ephod

David's first act as king was to set up a tent in the centre of jerusalem. The ark symbolized god's presence there with his people during their exodus. David hunted down that ark, placed it on the throne and said: 'I'm not a king who's coming to sit on a throne' He also rebuilt moses's tent at the city centre where he spoke face-to-face with God. This is an example of how new leaders often start off by making bold decisions right away.
