When i was a monk, you know, as a young monk, part of the tradition is that you bow when you meet an elder. And at first it was really awkward and strange, later on, i came to love it. I got to where i'd bow to anything. You know, truck comes by, bow to that. A bow to the trees. It felt so good to bow. So i'd like us to do a chant together, a very simple chant, the way to end the evening, evening's talk, the beginning of most all buddhist sutra.
