The Importance of Observation in Development Psychology
Paul Waldman: I've followed the research a little bit, including various back and forth. He says he thinks part of his bias is that he's seen so many videos from, you know, like the New York Times or something where they don't think it's a laboratory conditions. But in a better presentation of that, though, we would be remiss if we didn't talk about the replication crisis as psychologists have been doing their studies well but not good enough. Waldman: We're using bigger samples, we're pre-registering our international stuff; this might make a real difference.
