Asians in the United States, Identity and Invisibility, Right?

Asians have been in this country since at least the 18 hundreds, it seems our icultural relevance has become more irrelevant recently. Em: I feel as though the invisibility functioned sometimes as a protective mechanism for generations of asian americans who could not protect themselves through representation or laws. And i think we also have to think about, is that still working for us? Does that work for my children, who will one day be asian American adults?
