The Sacrifice of the Father

In traditional gender roles, there was a heavy aspect of the father having to be the hidden parent. The work wasn't seen as it's like this thing to escape the family. It was seen as like a sacrifice for the family. And again, this can shift today. But also shows us just how much we need to support single parents because they have to play both of these roles.
