The Holman Collins Ski Museum in Oslo
Norwegians really know how to do cafes very well. Make your way up or down the length of the river, because there's this beautiful path that runs alongside it and you'll discover all sorts of historical nuggets on the way. Holman Collins Ski Museum covers 4000 years of skiing history from Viking age skis to equipment used by Nansen and Amundsen. It also has a wonderful viewing platform up at the top and you can stand there and look out over Oslo. Although when I was there, it was rather terrifyingly, I totally forgot about this till I started thinking about Holman Collins last few days.
