strength training would just have benefits for all different kind of motor patterns and and activities. It is you can add minimal load with sat like a very light dumber, or medicine ball, or light cables, or like resistance tubing. If i did an limpic lift, i could did a snatch with er with a broom handle. That training, no its not going to unduly load them, but it's strength training.
