The idea that success simply comes through trying harder can be used as almost a censorship device, which we've seen. It is often used in many sectors as a big stick, rather than as something to drive people forward or an anti-nealism device. So I think it's interesting that the same ostensible thing can be used in two almost diametrically opposed ways.
