The Importance of a Salt Shaker Mic
The Alabama shakes record for me was like a benchmarking drum sound. It's one of those character mics where it just gives a little bit of something different. The Reese era and the whole mix in general was just like blowing me and Jake away when we were trying to make our building a beginning. And ultimately, it's mostly mid-range, just sort of like slamming in your face.
