Scientists have discovered a receptor in the brain that hits the gas on physical development and sexual maturity when there's enough food around. They think this explains why people in countries with greater access to food get taller and start puberty earlier. And we learned that female elephants in mosambique have evolved without tusks in response to intense poaching. Poachers hunt the elephants for their tusks. But laws against ivory poaching have helped the elephants tusks grow back.
