Introduction
There have been some incredible scenes in eastern australia as towns and cities struggled to absorb unprecedented amounts of rain. Flooded rivers, creeks and drains spilled over to fill low lying streets and houses with a surge of dirty water. In some places, the damage is so rate entire towns are now asking if it's worth rebuilding at all. We'll visit one of the towns effected in northern new south wales but first to a suburb in brisbon, where 739 millimeters of rain fell in just four days.
