There have been a wide variety of perspectives, concerns, certainly a sense that by taking things that had long been considered important as service and putting them into the category of scholarship might diminish the significance of service. But actually, we've been doing that for quite some time. There are many scholars, Natalie, Zeeman Davis, and others who achieved their stature in the field became tenured with a portfolio of important articles. So we had already taken that step of saying, you can in fact be credentialed in other ways.
