Leif Shang-Fu's Speech at the Munich Security Conference
There was clear interest from the US side, but there wasn't actually a formal bilateral. I would say Leif Shang-Fu's speech was in some ways relentless and unyielding in presenting the position of the people's Republic of China. But I don't think it was actually overly aggressive in doing so. Still, overall, the interaction between the two great powers will have done little to calm the nerves ... of the many middle and smaller powers affected by the absence of defense diplomacy through personal exchange.
