What's the Fat?
Coventry's youth budget between 2010 and 2020 came down by 80%. It was 8.6 million in 2010, it's 1.7 million now,. If you're then presented with the necessity of putting even more looking ahead, what's left? I think this is the crux of the matter. We used to call it the low-hanging fruit. It's no longer there. This austerity clearly, in my mind, won't work. Well, at the end of the day, if it continues, we'll have to look at services in its entirety and stop doing them. What do we do? And this is a debate for ourselves.
