Protein is the most satisfying macronutrient when it comes to its ability to regulate over half of our hunger hormones. The body can take proteins and create carbohydrates through gluconeogenesis. When you eat something that is primarily protein, it has a minimal to zero effect on your blood sugar. It's simply broken down into those individual amino acids. Those are really satisfying.
