The Cost of Interventions for Functional Seizures
The total cost of inpatient admission was 1.2 billion for people with FND just over a one year period, according to Stephen et al. But many studies that we looked at didn't factor the indirect costs such as loss of employment and benefits. And then finally, there are intangible costs, which are difficult to quantify. So essentially what these studies showed by and large was that you could reduce costs and increase qualities, especially compared to standard medical treatment using these interventions.
