The Challenges to the Russian Space Industry
If you want to do business in Russia as a space company you need to be very well connected with the government and agencies. What we learned was that all those initiatives that were floating around in the beginning of the 2000s have been slowly pulled back or reinterpreted so they can play more to the structure as it was. It's like they didn't make the transition into the commercial paradigm and now they are having problems following into this new defense and security paradigm.
