The double tap is a bombing technique in which the attacker first draws attention to an area, ensuring a gathered crowd before a second device is detonated. It almost seemed timed to hurt those coming onto the scene to help Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell later said. But who in their right minds would target a doctor's office with a dual bomb attack? Many believe the answer was to be found in another bomb attack that had occurred the previous summer at the Centennial Olympic Park. This is the very same bombing federal investigators initially blamed on Richard Jule but were later exonerated.
