A cluster of galaxies distorts light from the distant universe through its gravitational pull, acting like a lens to magnify what's behind yer. I saw someone at nassau saying that the slice that they were looking at covers a patch of sky approximately the size of a grain of sand held at arm's length by some one on the ground. So just that tiny, tiny bit zoomed in on, it is completely extraordinary. You got literally thousands of galaxies containing billions and billions of stars, and this is just a tiny, tiny ic of the entire universea take us through what goes on in order to produce an image like this.
