Dictatorship functions on the basis of distrust. When people don't trust each other, that's the ideal situation for a dictator. But democracy is much better than dictatorships at learning from its own mistakes and trying something different. That's a very hopeful scenario. Whether it will happen again in this round, I don't know. But the kind of doomed scenario, the end of democracy, we have accompanied the history of democracy for the last 200 years.
