Fed Minutes Against Financial Conditions Decoupling
The Fed minutes appear to argue against what Powell said during the presser on the decoupling of financial conditions from monetary policy. This was kind of interpreted by a lot of people as the most davish statement from the Fed or minutes, I guess, in the last two years. The whole point of the Fed over the last little while has been to crimp down on financial conditions. They've wanted to destroy demand and destroy the market basic tightening financial conditions. Over the last few weeks, that has not, or last couple months, really,. that has not been the case.
