Is It Harder for US Businesses to Effectively Execute in China?

Companies prefer certainty. They'd like to know where the lines are drawn, even if they're not drawn where they want them to be. And what's clear right now is that nothing is clear. We're drawing lines with thick magic markers and so are the Chinese. It's a really bad environment for businesses to make long-term bets. That's why many of the companies that I met were really struggling with deciding what to do.
