I know that at least it's a thing for a lot of designer-y kind of work, where you sort of make something a little card, a little poster, some sort of thing and then you like leave it behind as a gift to the people interviewed. I've had interviewees come into the company I was working at, and then have food that was just for everybody, like donuts or bagels or just here's some stuff.
