Nomad's Geothermal Energy Could Provide Energy for Life
Nomad had a surface temperature above the melting point of water and was still geologically active with evidence of sea-floor volcanism. Hydrothermal events could theoretically provide enough energy for life. The crew's recordings of the planet were still stored in Lacuna's archive. She'd run through them so many times they felt like her own memories. Always night and never day on Nomad. Dark sky, dark waves lapping against dark rock. A dark moon with no light to reflect back. Not belonging anywhere, making its own path through the universe. If you are deep in the winter of your own heart, know that somewhere, it's about to be spring.
