What Are Sales Leads?
A sales lead is a person or business who may eventually become a client. Businesses gain access to sales leads through advertising, trade shows, direct mailing, third parties and other marketing efforts. Salespeople then use those leads to send sales pitch emals or direct marketing materials and to make old calls. Several factors determined the quality of a sales lead such as whether or not the individual or business had an incentive to offer their contact information.
