I'm guessing that he was probably there as Schoegu's liaison with Pragozen, and that may have become too close of a relationship. I don't anticipate any personnel changes largely because Putin is operated with the same team almost from the start. My guess he doubles down on the people he's got around him. If he were to let Sergei Shojevu go with the defense ministry, it would be a public outing of the failure on his part of the war efforts which again would play into Pragozen's hands.
