The Mistake of Forbading

I was wondering because I learned in school forbade as a past tense. If that is not the past tense that is the present. It's very common that you always switch between the tenses. And even with the IT, especially, I try to keep them mostly in one tense just to give you guys more and more repetition. So sometimes I will suddenly just slip into the present tense.
