Idiamine's Story
In 1976, the International Commission of Jurists reviews its figures. It now estimates that the number of those massacred under Amine has reached a colossal 300,000. Amnesty International will go even higher, setting his death-o-meter at half a million - one in 20 Ugandans. How long can the world stand and do nothing? it seems only a matter of time before someone makes a move to bring Amine down. Milton Abote is sitting pretty in Tanzania biding his time while he gathers an army of Ugandan refugees. His first attempt to retake the country in 1972 failed but his forces have grown considerably stronger since then.
