Introduction

This chapter discusses the influential Aboriginal leader Una Pingu and his contributions to the fight for land rights and constitutional recognition for First Nations people in Australia. It also introduces Mr. Galeroy Una Pingu, Chairman of the Northern Land Council, who shares his views on the development of the north and the benefits for the people he represents.
