Is the Eu Better Off Having Got Bigger?

The eu, in its current shape and form, does not necessarily perfect the function. The way to do it could be open to discussion, but the need to do it is quite clear for me. For the last decades, the best foreign policive tool the u Had was the enlargement policy. It transformed so many countries in the continents close ranks,. created a very big internal market and both deepened and also enlarged the integration process. i see this as a very successful example of increasing co operation and integration in the continent.
