How to Create a Delay Effect in Ableton

In this example, I didn't render the audio so it's actually three tracks. It's effectively like taking the original track and duplicating it twice. The key is going to take audio from a separate track, and that rhythmic pattern is going to be essentially the same, but just staggered in time. So, what we're creating is the most basic delay effect, windowing into variations of the audio. You can make the release time on a gate really short and have a snappy windows in. Or you can make them long and kind of create these kind of overlapping windows. And now let's put them all together.
