The Cosmic Encounter Paradigm in Imperium the Contention

In Imperium the Contention, you're under constant vigilance. You must know at all times what ships have ranged troops because go ships break two fundamental core rules and you're going to be upset and angry if you don't remember. There's enough broken stuff or broken looking stuff and enough wild effects that comes out in the wash. I would call this the Cosmic Encounter paradigm. It is more frequently Walker, the one at the table, who gets salty when various things happen. But, we'll get into that later. I have comments, I have views. Ugh. Okay. The game has some elements of 4X games but not full fledged 4X games.
