Joyce Gellani Gordon and David Gordon's Program in Indonesia

Indonesia still has some of the harshest drug policies in the world, death sentences for dealing or producing drugs. At first, one of the only places that offered anything like rehab was a program founded by Joyce Gellani Gordon. She struggled to interpret some of the Christian concepts of 12 steps for Indonesia's Muslims and Hindus and Buddhists.
