The Paranoia of Putin's Successor
I think we may even be at a point of paranoia inside the Chinese system where you can't have those discussions because it raises the question of who is she's successor. Because she has not chosen a successor. Unlike every previous Chinese leader, after Sintz Mao, he has broken the old succession system and stayed in power. And so while you might be able to have those conversations, you know, on long walks in the hills with somebody you trust, you're probably not having them at any kind of recordable conversation.
